GE3 Communication Skills

This course applies the knowledge learnt in GE1&2. Research by psycholinguists like Meryl Swain show that languages are learnt when they are used in real contexts. Students will practice expressing their ideas and opinions with classmates. Classmates are from a variety of countries including Spain, Japan, Korea, Colombia, France, and other places. This is an important chance to learn how to apply language knowledge. Though news articles may be used, there will still be new vocabulary and pronunciation knowledge to learn, and social/interaction skills.
